Recently, our Community Committee sponsored Selina Lapthorne and her dog Bobbie to participate in a 100km Dog Walk in support of Dementia UK. Selina raised £290 herself and overall the challenge raised £313,360.95, which could cover the costs of the national Dementia Helpline for two months, supporting 4,479 people who are facing the fear and confusion of dementia. We’re really proud of Selina for supporting such a great cause and what better way to do it than with a furry friend, although by the looks of things he’s going to need time to recover!
